I made it out to the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby this weekend and had a great time. I must say that I was really impressed with the turnout. Hipsters, artists, gawkers and some colorful local folks framed out with some great beer from the folks at the Philadelphia Brewing Company. This event has been going on since 2007 and seems to be growing steadily every year. The KKSD is not really a race, but rather a design competition and parade celebrating human powered transit and art. Award Categories include- Best Art, Best Costume, Best Engineering, People’s Choice, Best Breakdown and a special secret judge award.
